Surviving in Korea

Last year I celebrated valentine's with my boyfriend in Korea. That was my BEST valentines ever! Since valentine's falls on Sunday, I purposely asked my boyfriend to take me out for dinner on valentine's eve at Osan so I could pick up his cake which I ordered from Angel Bakery. The cake turned out to be uhsum! It's super moist chocolate cake, the best chocolate cake I have ever tested in Korea even my baby loves it too.  I chose 'T' shape instead of heart shape as it represents his name. ( I know heart shape would be nicer for valentine's but yeah). It's pretty hard to find bakeries in Korea where they can make some writing on cakes, if you like to say something on your cake, you gotta do it yourself. Duh!! Even if you go over the counter try to ask the baker they will reject your request. Why is that? Lazy ass! One of my friend told me because they don't know how to write in Alphabetical, eh what?! We're not asking you to write in Hebrew!

So we decided to try out the Thai buffet by Young Chon Hotel. I must say, we had lovely dinner which my BF don't really enjoy it much **sigh** but is worth every penny. They served lots of varieties like Tomyum, mango salad, banana dessert, beef ginger and so much more for only KRW15,000 per person. But of course their Tomyum can't never beat 'Sawatdee's'. There are so many Thai restaurants in Osan but Sawatdee sets to be the best among all.
So if anyone of you would like to try out an authentic Thai cuisine, try Sawatdee!

Cupcakes in Korea hell way too expensive!! Totally ripped-off! Each small cupcake will cost you KRW4000 ($4 USD). Damnn.. Living in Malaysia is way better than Korea.  I just don't understand why Malaysian are so obsessed about everything that related to Korea like Korean songs (they don't even understand the words), Korean style, Korean food, etc.

So back to our cupcakes story, since cupcakes were too expensive, I decided to just bake my own cupcakes. Guess what?! Yeeayyy, it's pretty and taste yummy.. The most important is, my baby loves it.. Yeay success ! It ain't easy to feed a picky eater like him **sigh**. I had to make sure all the ingredients I made were less fat and less sugar. Here are some cupcakes pics that I made based on my 'less-cost' theme.. (less fat means less $$)

Timay's Birthday

Bought this white choc cake from Paris Baguette that's shitty
(bweekk) and it looks awful too so I created new look on the
cake itself..

and TADDAAAA!! Same old brand new look white choc cake!!

I topped more melted white chocolate before arranging
those marshmallows so it'll stick well on it.
